“Ground techniques”
There are 47 techniques in the Fudoshin Jujitsu Syllabus from red to black belt. These include holds, locks, chokes, crushing techniques, strangles, double locking and strikes with locking techniques.
Red Belt
- Hon Kesa Gatame (scarf hold)
- Hadaka Jime (naked arm choke)


Mauve Belt
- Ura Ude Garame (reverse fig 4 arm lock)
- Ashi garame (single leg lock)
- Yoko ashi Ude garame (side stand on arm lock)


From kneeling Tori lifts one leg with knee bent at 90°. Hold lateral aspect of ankle with left hand whilst exerting lateral pressure on medial aspect of knee with right hand (externally rotating the hip) to force tori to the ground. Place their ankle in your axilla, left arm folding underneath, so radial edge of forearm presses into their calf, rest armon the biceps of your other arm, forming a figure of four bar, push hips up and lean back.

Take opponent down as in scarf hold. Place your bottom leg under their arm with your hips as tight up to their shoulder as you can. Use the other leg to apply pressure to their arm. Forming a bar with leg against the elbow joint
Yellow Belt
- Ashi Hishigi Garame (single leg lock with stretch)
- Ura Empi Garame (reverse elbow lock)
- Ura Ude Garame (wrap over arm lock)
- Eri jime (front sliding jacket choke)
- Ura Eri Jime (reverse sliding jacket choke)
- Ashi Ude Garame (fold around arm lock with leg)






Yellow Belt with Orange Stripe
- Men Hasami Jime (head pushing choke)
- Hittsui Hasami Jime (knee pushing choke)
- Kani Uchi Jime (claw hand choke)
- Ude Garame x 3 (arm lock)
- Tai Hasami Jime (hip pushing choke)
- Ura Uchi Kani Jime (reverse claw hand choke)
- Morote Ashi Garame (double leg lock)
- Ura Morote Ashi Garame (reverse double leg lock)
